You Have Seen Many Things

The danger of spiritual blindness is its wide road and gate leading the blind to their destruction. YAHSHUA condemned the Pharisees and the Scribes, the two group of people who supposedly knew the Word of God by calling them blind guides and blind fools, pretenders, hypocrites, white-washed tombs, serpents (Matt. 23).  The Pharisees and Scribes, were two classes of people who stood alone in their position of spiritual leaders of the people.  They always had something to criticize YAHSHUA pointing their fingers at Him for things they disapproved of. Meanwhile, their lives were nothing more than a white-washed tombs with dead bones inside, and everything impure, full of pretense and lawlessness and iniquity. They were without a doubt, true examples of seeing many things, yet, seeing nothing. Seeing with physical eyes, without perceiving, is blindness of the soul. Mere knowledge of Scriptures without conviction does not qualify anyone as perceivers of the Word of God, but rather knowledge of Scripture received with a humble and contrite heart. YAHSHUA said, If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend; be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thoughts and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure that will be given to you who hear; for him who has will more be given; and from him who has nothing even what he has will be taken away (Mark 4:23-25).

We see many things, we read many books, Knowledge is everywhere we look for. Yet, understanding is lost in the chaos of our spiritual blindness. So, it is that we perceive nothing, because we believe not the warnings of the reality right before our eyes. The world is numb; the ears of men are filled with worldly things; they are half awake, living as though nothing is happening, submerged in their own ignorance, and aloof to the warnings given to escape God’s judgement. They will be found shaken when the determined time comes for God to judge the world, as it happened in the days of Noah, when warnings were laughed at and thrown out of their window, they continued living in their sinful life style, marrying and given in marriage, until it was too late for their perception to be counted worthy anything for their salvation. The world of then was swallowed up by the waters from that great and universal flood. Likewise, today’s world will be engulfed in the flames of fire under God’s judgement, because men chose not to perceive and understand that which is plainly to see and understand; they rejected the warnings given. God in His mercy, always revealed to His prophets what is to come, in order for them to warn the people. We have been warned, we have had a chance to believe and turn around in repentance, not to fall into God’s judgment. The Lord God asked the question, Who is blind but My servant [Israel]? Or deaf like My messenger whom I send? Who is blind like the one who is at peace with Me, yes, who is blind like the Lord’s servant? You have seen many things, but you do not observe or apprehend their true meaning. His ears are open, but he hears not! (Isaiah 42:19-20). YAHSHUA’S church is in the same situation as Israel. The letters sent to the churches through the book of Revelation, except for two of them, reveal the spiritual condition of yesterdays and todays so called Christian churches. Woe is me!  Said the Prophet Isaiah, for I am undone and ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts! (Isaiah 6:5). Woe is us for having received the warnings from the Lord’s mouth (his Word), but have not perceived to have a change of heart and return to Him! God’s judgement must have its beginning with His unfaithful church. In the days of Sodom and Gomorrah people were violent and sexually perverted. Referring to Sodom and Gomorrah’s judgement, Peter said, God condemned to ruin and extinction the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, reducing them to ashes, set them forth as an example to those who would be ungodly; and He rescued righteous Lot, greatly worn out and distressed by the wanton ways of the ungodly and lawless (II Peter 2:6-7). There is a pattern here found in the prophetic words of YAHSHUA that we must perceive: just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the time of the Son of Man… so also as it was in the days of Lot, [people] ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built, but on the very day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed all. That is the way it will be on the day that the Son of Man is revealed (Luke 17:26-30).

Have you perceived the times we are living in how they parallel those days of Noah and Lot?  The world’s iniquities are ripened for God’s judgement to fall on earth. The only way to escape what is coming is through YAHSHUA’S work of redemption. There will be no other way for your salvation, for only He has purchased you with His precious blood; by shedding it, He gave life to all who would accept His sacrifice on the cross. History has a way of repeating itself in its space in time. Wake up, wake up, hear the drums of war with warnings not to ignore. We must perceive where we are in the pages of time. A warning is given us by our Lord, YAHSHUA. Perceive the things that are happening today, and you will understand perfectly the signs of the times we are living in. Don’t be found in the darkness of time for seeing things and not perceiving them for what they are.
