Created in the image and likeness of God, man fell from his position when he sinned and became subjected to the enemy- the devil. Man became God’s enemy then. God’s image given to man was marred and was lost. From that time on, man no longer reflected the likeness of God. His soul- (will, emotion and intellect) was no longer controlled by God. The immaterial part of man which differentiated him from animals was tainted when he fell into temptation. God, however in His mercy and grace, planned a way to reconcile man to Himself and free him from the power of sin and death through the death of His own Son. Restored and reconciled to God, man obtained again the position of created in the image and in the likeness of God, in which he must no longer live for himself, but for God. Through Messiah YAHSHUA, he was made a new creation into the likeness of God. Born of water and the Spirit, man is given the right to be called sons of God! God’s holiness and righteousness were imputed to those who believe and accept the gift of new life in Him. In which we cry, ABBA- Father. In the image and likeness of God, we are heirs with YAHSHUA, our Savior and Lord.
Bought with YAHSHUA’S precious blood, our spiritual DNA received the HOLY SPIRIT’S signature when we were born again. Sealed with Him, we are guaranteed our salvation. Peter said, You must know that you were redeemed from the useless way of living inherited by tradition from forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, but you were purchased with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot (I Peter 1:18-19). …You were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit; that is the guarantee of our inheritance, in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring possession of it- to the praise of His glory (Eph. 1:13b-14). My friend, make sure that your spiritual DNA has God’s Son’s signature and not that of the devil. The signature in your spiritual DNA is your final destination. It will take you either to heaven, or to hell. It is a fact to consider and act upon it. YAHSHUA told the Pharisees, You have for your father the devil. In other words, their spiritual DNA had the devil’s signature. That will be true for everyone who rejects God’s Son’s gift of life. As it is in physical life, in order to find out whose are the parents of a child through the DNA, so it is in the spiritual sense. It will be known through the book of life, if our name will be found there.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son for whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
