Things That Matter Most

Nothing in this earth compares with the glorious experience we will have when our redemption will be completed and heaven will be our abode forever in the presence of our Savior, our Hope of glory. All the troubles, all the sorrows, pains, uncertainties of life, and death will forever be abolished in the presence of YAHSHUA, clothed with His peace, in glorious splendor, we will celebrate Him forever. This is beyond what we can imagine or think. Dead to the world, alive in Christ, the bride of Christ must aim for heaven, while in this lowly body. Pressing on as a soldier in the battle field, never giving up; aiming toward the crown of glory; untainted by the world and its traditions, having our lamp filled with oil- the Holy Spirit, while we wait for our King, for when He comes, it will be as fast as lightening traveling from one end of the sky to the other. There will be no time to waste with the things of this world. What will matter most in our life time is our readiness to meet Him.

In the first hours of the morning, when we first wake up, let’s direct our mind to the things above where our Savior is. Let’s prioritize our time by acknowledging Him as Lord of our life in gratitude to Him for the gift of salvation He presented to us through the scourge received in His body, the spitting on His face, the crown of thorns placed on His head, through insults and mocking, and the cross, where His body was nailed to. Press on toward the goal to win the prize to which God in Christ YAHSHUA is calling you upward (Phil. 3: 14). Two will only walk together if agreed to do so. He wants to walk with us; we must desire that too, for YAHSHUA’S death reconciled us to the Father and made us holy in God’s sight, provided that we continue grounded and established in the faith; and established in the hope of the Gospel, not moving away from it (Col. 1:22-23) (paraphrased).

What really matters to us will lead us toward it. As YAHSHUA said, Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. If YAHSHUA’S gift matters to us above all things, it constitutes our treasure. Going to bed thinking of Him, waking up with Him, in the middle of the day desiring Him, without a doubt, we are agreeing to walk with Him. Priority established by acknowledging Him in all we do, we will be successful, as YAHSHUA said, Seek you first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you (Matt. 6:33); and in all your ways know, recognize and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths (Prov. 3:6).  Whatever things that we need for a healthy living- spiritual, mental and physical will be provided when we continuously keep our focus on Him. “If you have been raised with Christ” means: if you have died for self, and are living your new life in Christ in obedience to God’s Word, then what should matter most to you, is your treasures in heaven, where YAHSHUA our Savior is. He is the focus of our heart above all treasures. He said, Abide in Me and I will abide in you. Without Me you can do nothing (John 15: 4a, 5b).

In these evil days, when the world is turning in the wrong direction, your time spent with God is time well valued in the sense of what should matter to you most. Living your life worthy of God, Who calls you to relationship with him, will in the end result in a victorious life, when heavens will receive you with the words of the Lord YAHSHUA, Well done faithful servant, enter into the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world (Matt. 25: 34b).  Wherever you are in your walk with YAHSHUA, remember, He is the One Who should matter to you most in your time, your deeds, and in your behavior. Take time to walk with Him today, experience the peace and joy of His presence and strength for your daily living and faith to press on.
