Is God’s Mouth Muzzled Not To Speak To Us Today?

In the days of Noah, when evil had taken over the world of yesterday, God chose Noah the only just man found among all who lived then, to save him from the coming earth destruction. As it is consistent with God, He confined in Noah, His servant, the news. At the same time, Noah was to warn the people, so they would repent to be saved. For 120 years Noah faithfully warned the people. Unfortunately, they did not listen to take the message to heart and repent of their way of life. They continued living their lives as usual, until the flood took them by surprise. The message heard in those days, if mingled with faith, salvation would have come to more than just a few. As it was, all died, except Noah and his family, eight in all. The days of Noah are days in which constitutes signs of the coming of YAHSHUA. He said, As were in the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and given in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark. And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away – so will be the coming of the Son of Man (Matt. 24:37-39). The ark, Noah was building, constituted a testimony, and a sign confirming what God had spoken to him to warn the people of God’s coming judgement upon the earth. The message, however, was not received with faith, and they perished in their sins. God gave the people a time line of 120 years to be warned about His judgment. A long time so it seems; so, they were without excuse.

God has been speaking to men since the beginning of time; His message has been carried on one way or other, through His prophets of old and new. He spoke to Noah, He spoke to Abraham, He spoke to Moses, to Joshua, He spoke to all the prophets and gave them warning messages to give the people, for not desiring that people should perish, but have a chance to repent.

Today, YAHSHUA’S solid message is the focus point of salvation given for our redemption. Without a doubt, He still speaks today to all those who are willing to hear His voice; He said, My sheep hear my voice. He is forever the same; there is no shadow of changing with Him. His concern for men remains as before. Today we have His Holy Spirit speaking to us in many ways: audibly, from His word, through dreams and visions. Concerning that YAHSHUA said, He (the Holt Spirit) will announce and declare to you the things that are to come. This for today, as it is prophesied many years ago by the Prophet Joel 2:28-29: And afterward I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions; even upon the menservants and upon the maidservants in those days will I pour out My Spirit. We are experiencing now the last days, when the Spirit of God is active in the lives of many of His prophets today with messages of warnings, and encouragement for times as these. He will not leave His people, who are seeking to know His purpose, in darkness of His plans.

Yes, God speaks through visions and dreams. Take for example, the Apostle Paul, who on his way to Damascus, with the purpose to destroy the followers of YAHSHUA, saw a vision that changed his life from persecutor to persecuted. From that moment on, he lived to serve God and died a martyr’s death. He wrote about the prophetic event – the rapture of the church; he warned us not to despise the utterance of the prophets (I Thess. 5:20), and the gift of prophecy he included on the list of spiritual gifts. (I Cor. 12:10). The Lord appeared to him other times in visions directing him where to go with the Gospel. The Prophet Amos said, Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets (Amos 3:7).  That’s the way it has been not only through the Old Testament, but the new, as in the life of John, who wrote the book of Revelation. When God was about to destroy Sodom and Gomorra, He said, shall I hide from Abraham what I am going to do, since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him and shall bless themselves by him? (Gen. 18: 17). Young Joseph, one of the sons of Jacob, was notorious for having prophetic dreams and visions. It started when he dreamed about his family bowing down to him. Although, he had to go through the fire of tribulations, the dream was fulfilled in him, when as a slave in Egypt.  Pharaoh’s dream concerning seven years of plenty (seven fat cows) and seven years of famine (seven skinny cows) was a prophetic dream. His dream was not just a result indigestion. Both, Joseph’s and Pharaoh’s dreams were prophetic and fulfilled dreams.

Consistent with Whom He is, God will always warn His people before He sends judgment, even today.  God has selected a few prophets, and prophetess today through whom He has encouraged His church about what is happening in these troubled days.  His voice is still heard through dreams and visions, although many believers are not accepting them. They have been critical of the utterances of the today’s prophets, disregarding God’s word given them.  My people perish for lack of vision. That’s where many believers are in their incredulous attitude.

I ask the question, Who in his right mind would like to contend with the fact that God still speaks to us today? And Why, would anyone think that God would be wearing a mask in our troubled days? Perishing we would go for lack of vision. But know you all, who do not believe today’s prophets: The Lord God of yesterday, is the same, today and forever; His ways are unchangeable. He spoke yesterday in time; He speaks today in time. YAHSHUA said, My sheep hear my voice. Today, we hear God’s voice through His true prophets, as well as through His Word, dreams and visions and sometimes, we hear His audible voice.  However, it is through having a relationship with Him that it can happen. The ministry of a prophet is still alive today, as it was yesterday.

Israel suffered the consequences of the hardness of their heart, when they despised the prophets of those days, as the Prophet Hosea confirms, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you… says the Lord (Hosea 4:6). We cannot walk in fellowship with God in disbelief and rejection of His today’s spoken words. Choose this day whom you want to believe: God’s truth or the media’s lies, but as for us, we will believe God’s spoken words given to the prophets and prophetess of today with gratitude to Him for His love and care for us especially in times like these. Knowledge, not ignorance, faith, not fear, will guide us to victory.

THINK ABOUT IT!
