God’s love is so great and sacrificial to the extent that He was willing to give up His Son to sinners to be mocked, scourged, to strip Him of honor, to be made a spectacle of, to rivet a crown of thorns on His head and nails on His hands and feet and ultimately crucify Him. He loved mankind so much to the extent of laying on His Son, all our sins, meanwhile, turning away from Him. For God so loved the world to the extent of giving His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). The sacrifice of His Son is the only sacrifice that God the Father will ever accept for the salvation of men. That constitutes YAHSHUA to be the only Way, Truth and Life; no one can go the Father but through YAHSHUA His only son. He came into a poor family and He Himself had nothing of earthly value. His life was lived among the poor and non-educated people. He even said to someone who wanted to follow Him, The Son of Man has no place even to lay His head. In other words, I have no earthly goods to offer you, but a daily cross, that is, a life of self-denial. But His life was filled with power to heal the sick, the demon possessed and to bring life to the dead. He sought neither prosperity nor the company of the rich and famous people. They came to Him, instead. This is what He suggested to a young rich man: “Sell everything that you have and divide among the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come back and follow Me” (Luke 18:22). Be like Me and My disciples. He had to borrow a donkey when the time came for Him expressively to make Himself known as the Messiah.
But after having fulfilled His Father’s purpose for mankind, He came alive triumphant over all His enemies and positioned Himself at the right hand of the Father. Many years after His ascension, He appeared to one of His disciples called John in a way that caused John to fear, falling at His feet as if dead (Rev. 1:17). He came to John not as the Messiah, but as the powerful God and Judge with a warning for all the churches of those days. The choice is yours; it might be that any road will lead you to Rome; but not to heaven. There is no substitute road to heaven; there is no other way apart from YAHSHUA; there is no other eternal life guaranteed us, but the eternal life YAHSHUA offers. So it was that while we were still sinners, He gave His life as a ransom to free us from the power of sin. You can meet Him either as your Savior and King, or as your Judge; the choice is yours.
