Jude tells us how to live a righteous live in the midst of a perverse and corruption generation: build yourselves up on our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit; guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expecting and patiently waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ – [which will bring us into life eternal]; strive to save others, snatching [them] out of the fire; on others take pity [but] with fear loathing even the garment spotted by the flesh and polluted by their sensuality (Jude 20-21,23). Knowing that our Lord may come at any time, faithfulness in obedience and servitude while we wait for Him, is a must.
YAHSHUA said that blessed is the servant whom when master comes, will find faithful. (Matt. 24: 45-46). The words of YAHSHUA constitute preparedness for all who love Him. In view of future corruption and lawlessness, YAHSHUA asked the question: When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth? This is a question we need to set before us, as we live in the days of corruption and iniquity. We no longer have a voice in this world that will matter or change things, for the world is deaf to the spiritual things; we are the minority. This is a question we need to ponder in order for us to line up with the Word of God and be found ready when He comes.
One will be taken; one will be left. Who will be the one taken and the one who will be the one left? Where will the one be taken to and where will the other one be left at?
Before His death and His ascension to heaven, YAHSHUA uttered to His disciples most comforting words, filled with heavenly promises. He said, Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me; in My Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you. And when I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also (John 14:1-3).
The one taken will be the believer in YAHSHUA who will be found faithful. He will be taken to heaven, where YAHSHUA’S Father is, as He desires for all believers to be where He is. He prayed, Father, I desire that they also whom You have entrusted to Me may be with Me, where I am, so that they may see My glory, which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world (John 17: 24).
The one left will be the one who rejected YAHSHUA the Son of God, or have left the way and walk in disobedience. He will be left here on earth to experience the wrath of God which is coming through seals, trumpets and the bowls of Revelation 6-11; 15- 16. These will be tribulation time like never happened before anywhere. But everyone will have an opportunity to repent during those tribulation years. At that time the world will be as one under the leadership of one man- the antichrist, under one religion, under one financial system. His mark will be given to all who will take to be able to buy or sell anything. No longer there will be freedoms as we know them today. Lives will be under the scrutiny and control of the antichrist. In those days those who choose not to take the antichrist’s mark will be killed. YAHSHUA, has taught the importance of choosing eternal life, even if it costs our earthly life. It is a matter of not forfeiting our blessed life in heaven. Receiving the mark of the beast, we will be forever lost.
He said, for whoever is bent on saving his life shall lose it; and whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it [life everlasting]. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what would a man give as an exchange for his life [in the kingdom of God]? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will render account and reward every man in accordance with what he has done (Matt. 16:25-27).
In His teachings, YAHSHUA also presented two gates: the spacious and broad gate, that leads away to destruction and many are those who are entering through it (Matt. 7:13); and the narrow, straitened and compressed gate that leads away to life, few are those who find it (Matt. 7:14). The wide gate offers a life of worldly pleasures, where wickedness is taken as normal. The entrance for this gate not only will lead to the great tribulation, but also to the place where the fire will never be quenched – hell. The narrow gate however, is extremely narrow. One must enter it emptied of all that is fleshy and worldly. It symbolizes the denying of self, the taking up of the cross and the following of YAHSHUA (Matt. 16: 24). Pretending to be a Christian while entering through the wide gate, will never make us one no matter how hard we try. God will never be fooled, for His omniscience penetrates deeply into the heart of all men; no one can escape Him. When the blast of His trumpet will sound, summoning the true believers- those who have a relationship with Him, only they will hear it and be taken away to heaven with YAHSHUA before God’s wrath falls on the wicked ones, as it happened on the days of Noah, and Lot. Then the words of YAHSHUA will be fulfilled: At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left; two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken and one will be left (Matt. 24: 40-41).
Many church members, pastors, Sunday school teachers, choir members, are hearing the word, but are not listening to it to obey. They are busy teaching others, singing to others, but sadly they will be left behind upon hearing the dreadful words from YAHSHUA: I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven (Matt. 7:23,21). Will you be taken or will you be left? Choose to go through the narrow gate; choose life!
