Isaiah says, by His wounds we are healed. The wounds caused by the inflicted blow on His body when He was flogged, tore apart His skin and the very system of protection of the blood had no place to go but out of the body. With the opening of every vein blood gushed out, leaving YAHSHUA’S body depleted of life, while He was giving His life as the perfect sacrifice to purchase men for God. He did that to free men from the hands of the devil, who took them away through his deceitful ways, when he beguiled Eve. At the same time, however, physical healing was being offered to mankind. The Bible says, “by His wounds we are healed.” There would not have been healing without His blood. The wounds that broke His skin made possible for the blood to reach the world with healing- spiritual and physical. So by His blood we are healed and made whole (Isaiah 53: 5b).
YAHSHUA’S blood was the means by which He redeemed men unto His Father. He purchased His bride with His own blood (Acts 20:28b). Through His blood we are forgiven and justified (Rom. 5:9; Eph. 1:7). What sin did to men, forgiveness through YAHSHUA’S Blood erased its power and gave them freedom from guilt and sin. It is by His blood that we are alive spiritually and given an access to the presence of God, a right given to all who are called His children, born again through YAHSHUA’S blood. Reconciled with the Father, we have peace with Him by the blood of His Son, YAHSHUA (Heb. 10:19). Salvation from God’s wrath gave us hope and a future that can never be taken away from those who truly accepted the gift of His life- His blood. We can walk with a clear and clean conscience because He went once for all into the Holy of Holies, not by the virtue of the blood of goats and calves, but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (Heb. 9:12). By His blood we are secured, and we have a purified conscience (Heb.9:14b). The precious blood of our Savior has made possible for us to have a relationship with His Father and access to the Most Holy place where He is interceding for us (Heb. 10:19). By the blood of YAHSHUA we have victory to overcome the power of the evil one (Rev. 12:11). The Israelites were protected by the blood of a lamb when they left Egypt. That was only a symbol of what the blood of YAHSHUA was to do for the entire world to save mankind through His blood. The blood shall be for a token or a sign to you upon the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague shall be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt (Exodus 12:13). With that YAHWEH was forth telling of His Son’s blood to be shed for the salvation of the world.
After the death of YAHSHUA, only His blood was and is accepted by God for the forgiveness of sin and salvation of mankind. As it is in the physical, it is also in the spiritual that life is in the blood. Life eternal is found only in the blood of YAHSHUA. Only those who have been washed by His blood will have eternal life. There will be no salvation in any other blood besides His. The spirit of men is regenerated only by the blood of YAHSHUA. Physical diseases, although scary and powerful to take a life away, it is dimmed in power when the blood of YAHSHUA is appropriated in one’s life. “By His blood we are healed” is mentioned more than one time in the Bible. Peter confirms the fact: He personally bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed (I Peter 2:24). As the human blood is to the body so is the blood of YAHSHUA to the spirit of man.
YAHSHUA said, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood]. He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me and I in him (John 6:53,56). These words seemed hard and difficult and strange to several of YAHSHUA’S disciples and it might be for some today. But the true meaning surfaces in the spiritual understanding of these words. YAHSHUA was offering His life as a ransom for their sins. His human life consisted of flesh and body, the two components of the human life He embraced when He took the form of a man. When man experienced the new birth, he became dead to sin and to the world, and alive to Christ, sharing His suffering, crucified to the desires of the flesh and submitted to the desires of the Holy Spirit, Who dwells in him. Paul lived that kind of life and instructed us to do so. He said, I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, But Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me (Gal. 2:20). Never losing focus of the power of YAHAHUA’S blood, the believer has an obligation to Him, and a responsibility to have his body and mind cleansed with YAHSHUA’S blood from the world’s pollution, always presenting his body to Him as a living sacrifice, holy and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service and spiritual worship, not being conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of the mind so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect. Not estimating and thinking of himself more highly than he ought, but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him; love one another with brotherly love, be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord, rejoice and exult in hope, be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer; bless those who persecute you, live in harmony with one another, repay no evil for evil, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for [God’s] wrath (Rom. 12). Much more you will find in this chapter as a guideline to live a life experiencing the power of the blood of YAHSHUA.
If you have been bought by the precious blood of YAHSHUA, walk in the manner in which the world around you may notice and glorify God. For His blood is the sustainer of the spiritual life, and our strengthener for every day. His blood is a healer of all diseases- spiritual, emotional, and physical. The reason why we have not experienced physical healing from YAHSHUA’S blood is because we have not appropriated the meaning and the power of His blood in our life. The Word of God says, By His stripes we are healed. Then we are healed, indeed. We must mingle faith with the Word of God to see the power of His blood taking place in every circumstance we face in life.
