The
righteousness that God ascribes makes one acceptable to Him in word, thought and deed. Men’s
righteousness according to the Word of God is like a filthy rag; in sin man was
conceived. The root of man’s being is ingrained in sin. There is nothing good
in men, even his good deeds are not considered by God to be so apart from His
righteousness being imputed to him.
