There is no sin so great that the Blood of YAHSHUA cannot wash it clean. Sin to God is sin no matter the size of damage it causes. To the repented thief, YAHSHUA said, Today, you will be with Me in paradise. But to the other thief, nothing was promised, and he died in his sin, because his heart was hard toward YAHSHUA, his salvation. He had a few hours while nailed on that cross to ponder and realize his sinful condition and repent; opportunity was given him, but he did not receive the eternal gift of salvation. He heard YAHSHUA’S cry of agony, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” But nothing moved him. Our eternal and future destiny is certain by the choice we make either to receive the gift of salvation, or by rejecting it. YAHSHUA said, He who believes in Him is not judged; but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in and trusted in name of the only begotten Son of God. The [basis of the] judgment is this: that the Light has come into the world and people have loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their works were evil (John 3:18-19).
Repentance, my friend, is a key that opens heaven’s door through forgiveness. Many are seeking heaven while their hearts are unrepented and proud to admit their sins. David said, “Blessed is he who has forgiveness of his transgression continually exercised upon him, whose sin is covered; blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity and in whose spirit there is no deceit… for this forgiveness let everyone who is godly pray – pray in a time when You may be found; surely when the great waters of [trial] overflow, they shall not reach him” (Ps. 32:1,2,6). When repentance is uttered before God, forgiveness comes in the form of peace and joy, because the heaviness of guilt is lifted up from the soul of the one repented. The Bible says, “If we admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins” (I John 1:9). Sufferings are many times the result of hidden sins; controlled by them, we live an unfulfilled life and separated from the mercy of God. But “if we are living and walking in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of YAHSHUA the Messiah His Son cleanses us from all sin and guilt” (I John 1:7). “If the Son liberates you, then you are really and unconditionally free” (John 8:36).
Freedom emanates from forgiveness; peace will follow at the moment that we repent and confess our sins. it brings out joy unspeakable, filling our soul to its fullest. The world cries for peace, while the hearts of men are turned against the Prince of Peace. The Bible says, “There is no peace for the wicked, but a contrite and repented heart, the Lord will not despise” (Ps. 51:17b). When the prodigal son came to himself, he realized his spiritual condition. He, no longer fed himself from the pigs’ food, but in contrition of heart resolved to repent and return to his family saying, “I will get up and go to my father, and I will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants. So, he got up and came to father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity and tenderness and he ran and embraced him and kissed him. He said to his bond servants, Bring quickly the best robe and put it on him; and give him a ring for his hand and sandals and let us revel and feast and be happy and be marry, because this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found! And they began to revel and feast and make merry” (Luke 15: 11-24).
All it takes for man’s relationship to be restored to God is man’s repentance of his sins and his returning to God. God is ready to forgive and to dress him up in His righteousness and seal him with His Holy Spirit- the ring that confirms and seals our salvation for eternity. YAHSHUA said that it will be more rejoicing over one lost sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not get lost. (Matt.18:12-13). The reality of it is that God’s love will embrace anyone who returns to Him in repentance and contrition of heart, no matter the condition he is in. He warns us saying, “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near; let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteousness man his thoughts and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon” (Isa. 55: 6-7). Today, my friend, is the day!
