Focused on peace and security is good, when knowledge is part of it. The Bible has warned us concerning the subject. From the Old Testament to the New, the emphasis is on prophecy. We are without excuse for not paying attention to it. The world stands still, waiting and hoping for better days, as it is going through the worse times in preparation for what it is to come. Before it gets where it should be ready for the tribulation, the Lord will return on the clouds with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel and with the blast of the trumpet of God; resurrection of the saints will happen next and the saints who will be living at that time, will meet the Lord in the air together with the resurrected saints (I Thess. 4:16). That’s what we, children of Light are waiting for next. Paul affirms this, saying, When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, there is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape! But you are not in darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief. For you are all sons of Light and sons of the day; we do not belong either to the night or to darkness… For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to salvation through our Lord YAHSHUA the Messiah (I Thess. 5:3,4).
God, through the years has prepared a safe haven for His people in times of His destruction. For Noah, and his family, He prepared an ark; for Lot a city away from the destruction; for Israel the sacrificial blood put on the post of the door posts of their house. God calls His people to hide for a while until the (Lord’s) wrath is past. For behold, the Lord is coming out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity… (Isaiah 26:20-21a). In that day, there will be a separation between the righteous and the wicked; the righteous will be taken away before God’s judgment; but the wicked will suffer under God’s judgment. The one hundred forty-four thousand, will be marked not to suffer under the plagues that will fall on earth. Revelation 6 registers six seals of judgment. The last one reads: “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand before it?” Rev. 7:1-4: After this (the six seals) I saw four angels stationed at the four corners of the earth, firmly holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind should blow on the earth or sea or upon any tree. Then I saw a second angel coming up from the east and carrying the seal of the living God. And with a loud voice he called out to the four angels who had been given authority and power to injure earth and sea saying, Harm neither the earth nor the sea nor the trees, until we have sealed the bond servants of our God upon their foreheads. And then I heard how many were sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel. Twelve thousand out of every tribe of Israel with the exception of Dan; Joseph replaced his sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. These will be the only people to be protected during that time of God’s judgment on earth. Everyone else who will be found on earth will suffer one hundred per cent, including Christians who were left behind. Obviously, they were not sons of Light. Going to church didn’t save them, neither preaching the Gospel saved them. Many will be left who profess to be nominal Christian. There is no room in God’s word for those who pretend to be, although act as, but in the inside, they are not. That day will surprise many when they will be found rejected by God as His children. Children of Light walk in the shadow of His light 24/7 every day of their lives with no compromise unto death for our Savior and Lord. The hypocrite Christians are misleading the sheep by compromising the truth of the word of God. The Bible tells us that unforeseen destruction is coming upon them without a way to escape. It is written and it will come to pass in that day. They will be judged with the wicked.
The day of the return of the Lord will not surprise the children of Light, for they are knowledgeable of that day and are prepared for it. As Paul said, But you are not in darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief. For you are sons of Light and sons of the day; we do not belong either to the night or to darkness. But you belong to the day; therefore, let us be sober and put on the breastplate of faith and love and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. So then faith, love and hope of salvation must be protected at all time with the breastplate, and with the helmet. Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually; be unceasing in prayer; thank [God] in everything [no matter the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks]. For this is the will of God for you; do not quench the Holy Spirit; do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets, but test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast.; abstain from evil in whatever form or whatever kind it may be. (I Thess. 5). These are guidelines Paul left for us to practice in getting ready for the coming of our Lord. Look around and perceive that our redemption is very near. There is no time to waste in God’s calendar if you want to be saved. Faithful is He Who is calling you and utterly trustworthy and He will also do it [fulfill] His call by hallowing and keeping you]. (I Thess. 5).
