There is no other commission more important and powerful than that of teaching the Gospel of our Lord YAHSHUA. The power that flows from His Words to us makes us capable to do the impossible. Imagine, opening the eyes of the blind, bringing the dead to life, the crippled to walk, diseases to disappear in the powerful name of YAHSHUA! Yes, I know how limited miracles have been for the majority of us. Our faith seems to be undeveloped or immature without the power that makes sickness disappear, demons to submit to us, dead to come to life. It has been given to us, but we have not taken into our hearts for us to be a true hero of the faith. Peter and John experienced this power in the evidence of the crippled man that was cured, while he begged for money. Neither Peter nor John could satisfy his desire for money, but they gave him a gift for life. Luke reports, that when he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them go give him a gift. Peter, directed his gaze intently at him and so id John, and said, Look at us! And [the man] paid attention to them, expecting that he was going to get something from them; But Peter said, Silver and gold I do not have; but what I do have, that I give to you: in the name of YAHSHUA Messiah of Nazareth walk! (Acts 1:1-6). We don’t have money, sir, but we do have something better and richer and wonderful for you!
Healing, what a word to grasp in our interbeing! Tormented by pain of sickness, we forget the healing available to us, through the death and resurrection or our Lord. “IT IS FINISHED! IT IS FINISHED, He said. Peter and John declared this gift and shared with others for the glory of God, as they confessed: You men of Israel, why are you so surprised and wondering at this? Why do you keep staring t us, as though by our power or piety we had made this man to walk? [YAHASHUA] Whom you indeed delivered up and denied and rejected and dishonored in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to let Him go. But you denied and rejected and disowned the pure and Holy, the Just and Blameless One, and demanded a murderer to be granted to you. But you killed the very Source of life, Whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. (Acts 3). It was through the name of YAHSHUA, the Creator and Savior of the world, gentlemen, that this crippled man was healed. No name is powerful enough to make a difference in one’s life: from blind to seeing, from deaf to hearing, from death to life. There is no limit to what the name of our Lord and Savior, YAHSHUA can do.
We miss the blessing of healing that He offered us in His atonement because we are ignorant of His Word. We celebrate His birth with lights, trees, gifts, lots of food in an unfair setting to those poor who live in a poor country. Did He come just for those who have and not also for those who have not? Yes, He was born in a manger; not a regular and meaningless manger with donkeys, goats, etc. He was born in a place where sheep without blemishes or defect, were chosen for ritual sacrifices. Their shepherds were the first ones to hear the good news: And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, (the shepherds) and the glory of the Lord flashed and shone all about them, and they were terrible frighted. But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people. FOR TO YOU IS BORN THIS DAY IN THE TOWN OF DAVID A SAVIOR, WHO IS MESSIAH THE LORD! AND THIS WILL BE A SIGN FOR YOU: YOU WILL FIND A BABY WRAPPED IN SWADDLING CLOTHES AND LYING IN A MANGER (Luke 2:9-12). There must have been a glorious, beautiful celebration in that humble place where the baby YAHSHUA was among other sheep to be sacrificed for the sins of the people. Their keepers were honored to be the first ones to receive the news!
That special place shone the Light men were to receive. For people who walked in darkness have seen a great Light; those who dwelt in the land of intense darkness and shadow of death, upon them has the Light shined (Isa. 9:2). Peter, on that day was shinning the Light people had not realized, in spite of all the evidences. He boldly said, Let it be known and understood by all of you, and the whole house of Israel, that in the name and through the power and authority of YAHSHUA Messiah from Nazareth, Whom you crucified; Whom God raised from the dead, in Him and by means of Him this man is standing here before you well and sound in body (Acts 4:10). The Light shone over the nation of Israel, but they chose darkness when they gave their Messiah up to be crucified. There is no other name in heaven or under heaven that can save the lost men and cure them of diseases.
“Bless the Lord O my soul; and all that is within me bless His holy name; bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of all His benefits- Who forgives all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption; Who beautifies and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy; Who satisfies your mouth with good so that your youth renewed is like the eagles (Ps. 103:1-5).
BLESS THE LORD O MY SOUL!
