God’s Trumpet and the Last Trumpet of Revelation

When the trumpet of God sounds, it is to call His bride away from His coming wrath. As it were in the days of Noah and Lot, when they were taken out before rain and fire came, so it will be when judgment falls on earth. As a matter of fact, that’s the reason for the “rapture,” there is no other reason for the taking out of the bride of Christ. The woes coming from God through seven seals, seven trumpets and seven bowls are going to be like nothing the world has ever experienced before. It will be as the Bible describes it: There shall be a time of trouble, straightness and distress such as never was since there was a nation till that time (Dan. 12:1). How are we to believe that the trumpet of God is the same as the seventh and last trumpet of judgment of Revelation 8-9? The sound of the trumpet of God is beyond all hope, the most important to us. It is not attached to the great tribulation trumpet but to God’s salvation of His bride. Paul recommended those who were waiting for the coming of the Lord YAHSHUA as it were to happen in his days. The calling of God’s bride will not be at the last trumpet of Revelation 8-9, but it will be at the blast of the TRUMPET OF GOD, preceded by a loud cry of summons (military) with the shout of an archangel (I Thess. 4:16). Many believe God’s calling of His bride to be at the last trumpet of Revelation and fail to mention it will be with a cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel and the blast of God’s trumpet.

The trumpets of judgment from Revelation are directed primarily toward the Jewish nation. The Bible says, And at that time [of the end] Michael shall arise, the great prince who defends and has charge of your [Daniel’s] people (Israel).  And there shall be a time of trouble, straitness and distress such as never was since there was a nation till that time… (Dan. 12:1); Jeremiah 30:7: Alas! For that day will be great. So that none will be like it; it will be the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he will be saved out of it. Moses, before he died, prophesized Israel’s fate at the last days due to their rebellion against their God. He said, For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days because you will do what is evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands (Deut. 31:29). There should be no room for confusion concerning the trumpet of God calling His bride and the seventh and last trumpet of Revelation bringing judgment on the earth. There is quite a distinction between the two.  The trumpet of God will bring resurrection to the everlasting life; the other, will be followed by more owes through the seven bowls of God’s wrath. How does one insert the rapture at that time, when it is followed by the first woe of the seven bowls according to Revelation? Paul, and others, in all their letters to the churches, never once warned the Christians to be ready for the Tribulation, instead, they encouraged the people to be waiting for the Lord’s return. Here are some verses to confirm:

…So that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord YAHSHUA the Messiah (I Cor. 1:7); Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, YAHSHUA the Messiah (Titus 2:13); and to wait for His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead, that is YAHSHUA, Who rescues us from the wrath to come (I Thess. 1:10); Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord YAHSHUA Messiah to eternal life (Jude 1:21).

So, it is that the blast of the trumpet of God will sound, the dead in Him will rise first … then we, the living ones who remain, shall simultaneously, be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always we shall be with the Lord! (I Thess. 4:16-17). The trumpet of God – the last trumpet mentioned in the letter to the Corinthians brings comfort in the completion of God’s redemptive plan for His bride, who will be forever with Him, while the last trumpet of Revelation brings judgment to the world in a series of seven trumpets. Which trumpet my friend, are you waiting for? You just might get it. Are you comforted knowing that God is going to punish you with the wicked of the earth, for being His bride? Do you feel His love embracing you while He shakes you with the woes of the seals and of the seven trumpets? What do you prefer, the love of God rescuing you or His wrath condemning you? God’s character is consistent with rewarding the righteous in whose side He is on, and punishing the wicked. David, more than one-time petitioned God saying, Gather me not with sinners and sweep me not away [with them], nor my life with bloodthirsty men (Ps. 26:9) and Drag me not away with the wicked with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors, but malice and mischief are in their hearts. Repay them according to their work and according to the wickedness of their doings; repay them according to the work of their hands; render to them what they deserve, because they regard not the works of the Lord nor the operations of His hands, He will break them down and not rebuild them (Ps.28:3-5).
