For the Lord Is Our Judge

I believe that the courts of laws are part of a government. By them a country is guided in its upholding its laws. By them, a country enjoys peace and order when righteousness and justice are not tainted with bribes. The Bible says, when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rules, the people mourn (Prov. 29:2); and blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord (Ps. 33:12). When wicked judges rule the courts, truths are thrown on the ground, and confusion of the mind prevails. That’s the world we live in; justice is not observed and the innocent is sent away to jail to pay for the sins of some else. The future is bleak, its light is dim; generation after generation will be blinded for not being able to see the light of truth. This is the cry of many innocent lives: “Oh, that I knew where I might find Him, that I might come even to His seat! I would lay my cause before Him and fill my mouth with arguments; I would learn what He would answer me, and understand what He would say to me. Would He plead against me with His great power? No. He would give heed to me. There, the righteous could reason with Him; so, I should be acquitted by my Judge forever… He knows the way that I take. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as refined gold” (Job 23:2-7,10).

In the darkness of wickedness, the world is submerged in, there are cries for justice in hopelessness and despair. No, God has not forsaken men He created for His glory, but men have forsaken Him as their Judge and eternal God, their Creator. But for those of us who have believed in Him, who have surrendered our lives to obedience to Him, He is to us our Lord and Judge, our Lawgiver, our King; He (alone) will save us. (Paraphrased from Isaiah 33:22). He is the One Who decides our case; One Who performs justice for us; the One who sets us free, by acquitting us through the sacrifice of His Son, YAHSHUA, Who victoriously purchased us with His precious blood, and positioned us with Him in the heavenly sphere at the right hand of the Father with Him. To Him be glory for ever and ever more!

Satan will no longer accuse us before our heavenly Father, our Judge. Paul asks the question, who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies? Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ YAHSHUA, Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us? (Rom. 8:33-34). We are enveloped in the love of our heavenly Father and no one can separate us from His love, as Paul continues asking questions, Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword?… I am persuaded beyond doubt that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ YAHSHUA our Lord (Rom. 8:35,38-39). Yes, my friend, in plenty, or wanting, in health or sickness, or in any other circumstances, His love will continue surrounding us.

When the time comes, God will judge the world in righteousness and equity; He will minister justice to the peoples in uprightness (Ps. 9:8). The world, under His judgment, will suffer the consequences of their wickedness; they will suffer the consequences of rejecting the Son of God’s gift of life. As it is, it stands already condemned for their lack of believing the truth. YAHSHUA said, He who believes in Him is not judged; but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God; the [basis of the] judgment lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works were evil (John 3:18-19). Here stands the truth, my friend. We either accept YAHSHUA as our Lord and Savior, believing that He is the Messiah of the world, bringing salvation to all, confessing that there is no other name in this world that one can save you; He is the only Son of God Who came to purchase men unto God with His precious blood, “like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.” You will be then under no more condemnation; the old are gone, behold the new life in YAHSHUA the Messiah, as Paul so confirmed to the Christians in Corinth: Therefore, if any person is in Messiah, he is a new creation; the old has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! (II Cor. 5:17). You will stand before God, cleansed by the blood of YAHSHUA acquitted through His forgiveness. You will no longer be judged by the Sovereign Judge, for He will be on your side. At the end of his life, Paul concluded saying, I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race, I have kept the faith; henceforth, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me and recompense me on that day- and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved and yarned for and welcomed His appearing (II Tim. 4:8).

May you be found worthy to stand before God at the end of your life, acquitted and set free from all condemnation, for having loved Him and accepted His Son.  There is now no more condemnation for those who are in Messiah, YAHSHUA, who live and walk not after the dictated of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit (Rom. 8:1).
