I Know That My Redeemer Lives

Job’s words were of prophetic meaning in the phrase, “At last He will stand upon the earth.” He will physically in the person of the Son, YAHSHUA, stand upon the Mount of Olives. Zechariah so prophesized: and His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from the east to the west by a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north and half of it toward the south… and the Lord shall be King over all the earth; in that day the Lord shall be one and His name one (Zech. 14: 4,9).

Job longed for his vindication, which was to come from the Lord God Himself, Who alone knew the reason for his suffering, as his friends established themselves as judges over him. They had no words of comfort to offer him, only accusations. That’s when Job asks them the question: How long will you vex and torment me and break me in pieces with words? (Job. 19:1) and concludes, Oh, that the words I now speak were written! Oh, that they were inscribed in a book! That with an iron pen and lead they were graven in the rock forever! For I know that my Redeemer lives… (Vs.23-25). Job’s desire was fulfilled. His words were written and we are the recipients of those beautiful, meaningful and hopeful words. They were sealed and protected in the living word of God – the Bible, the most read and the oldest book  of this nature in the entire world. The book that has the seal of God Himself, for it is His Word.  Therefore, It will stand firm in heaven and earth until all that’s written in it will be fulfilled.

“After my body has been destroyed, I shall see Him.” Powerful words confirming his belief in the resurrection; resurrection means power over death. This enemy will someday be done with; it will be vanquished forever. It will be swallowed up in victory; O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? (I Cor. 15: 54-55). This will happen when YAHSHUA will call His own to heaven. It will be in a very powerful manner, as Paul describes in I Thessalonians 4: 15- 18: For this we declare to you by the Lord’s [own] word, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall in no way precede or have any advantage at all over those who have previously fallen asleep [in Him in death]. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first. Then we, the living ones who remain shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always we shall be with the Lord!

Resurrection power was witnessed  by several people when YAHSHUA raised Lazarus from the dead. He shouted with a loud voice, Lazarus, come out! (John 11:43). He had to call Lazarus’ name, otherwise many others would had come out of the tomb, so powerful was the command.  YAHSHUA, the author of life, is the Resurrection; He is life. He told Martha, I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in Me, although he may die, yet he shall live (John 11:25). The Prophet Isaiah prophesized about the resurrection many years ago: Your dead shall live; the bodies of our dead shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For Your dew [O Lord] is a dew of [sparkling] light; and the earth shall cast forth the dead [to life again; for on the land of the shades of the dead You will let your dew fall]. The resurrected body is a spiritual, and immortal body; when it will be changed from corruption to incorruption, from mortal to immortal, it will constitute the victory over death. The Word of God teaches that there will be two resurrections: The resurrection of the righteous and of the wicked people. We read in Revelation 20:6 the following: blessed is the person who takes part in the first resurrection! Over them the second death exerts no power or authority, but they shall be ministers of God and of Christ, and they shall rule along with Him a thousand years. The remainder of the dead were not restored to life again until the thousand years were completed (vs.5). Those who take part of the second resurrection will suffer judgment and eternal condemnation. They are the ones whose names are not recorded in the Book of Life, for they have rejected the gift of salvation- YAHSHUA. Their end will be finalized by being thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:15). This is the second death. For them there will not be resurrection unto life, but unto eternal death, where the absence of the presence of God will cause them to suffer eternal torment.

After your death, are you sure you will see God?  Which eternity will open its door to you eternity with God or eternity in hell?  YAHSHUA still knocks at the door of your life today, desiring to give you His gift of eternal life, which is resurrection unto life, for He desires that no man should perish. The Patriarchs of long ago, like Job, believed in God- not only believed in His existence, but they walked a life of faith in Him. They will receive the resurrection unto life, when they will experience forever a life of joy and peace in the presence of the One Who is Peace; likewise, all believers in YAHSHUA. Our Redeemer and Vindicator is getting ready a dwelling place for all of us who have received Him in our heart. Life here is uncertain, but the knowledge of Him opens to us a new dimension of hope. Hope is that which we must have in order to persevere in faith in Him and ultimately receive the reward of eternal life through our resurrection unto life.

THINK ABOUT IT!
